Pakistan Nuclear Weapons in 2025 Pak Military will have 170 to 200 warheads after one year says US Scientists

Pakistan’s Nuclear Weapon: The current situation in Pakistan has made it dependent on every penny. The prices of everything from flour, rice, pulses, oil, clothes to the daily needs of humans are skyrocketing. Even in such circumstances, instead of recovering from its poverty, Pakistan is spending heavily on missiles. This matter is being discussed even in the US Parliament.

On Monday (April 15), a top US intelligence official, Jeffrey Kruse, told Parliament that Pakistan had upgraded its nuclear weapons last year. He says that the reason for this is India. Due to its controversial relations with India, it is busy strengthening its defense system.

Pakistan is spending on nuclear weapons
Talking about nuclear weapons, Pakistan currently has 170 war heads, whose number can reach 200 next year. America’s top nuclear scientists have made this estimate. He has made this estimate considering the speed with which Pakistan is increasing its nuclear power and nuclear weapons.

How many nuclear weapons does Pakistan have now?
Last year, news agency PTI had given this information quoting the Nuclear Notebook column published in the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientist on September 11. It said, ‘We estimate that Pakistan has around 170 nuclear weapons. In 1999, the US intelligence agency had estimated that Pakistan would have between 60 to 80 nuclear weapons by the year 2020, but it has more weapons than this, which indicates higher estimates for the coming years.

How much will Pakistan’s nuclear power increase in just one year?
Scientists said that considering the current pace, it is estimated that Pakistan may have 200 warheads by 2025. However, the size of this estimated figure depends on many factors. Like, how many nuclear launchers Pakistan plans to deploy, how its nuclear strategy evolves and how much India expands its nuclear arsenal. He said that it is estimated that Pakistan is producing material to make 14 to 27 weapons every year. However, we estimate that he might be making only 5 to 10 weapons every year.

On what basis did scientists make estimates?
Scientists said that the figures presented by them regarding Pakistan’s nuclear weapons are uncertain because neither Pakistan nor any other country has given much information about the Pakistani arsenal. In view of the lack of reliable sources of data inside Pakistan, American scientists have made this estimate about Pakistan’s nuclear power in the future on the basis of information received from open sources. The Nuclear Notebook column has included government announcements, declassified documents, budget details, military demonstrations as well as media reports and think tank assessments in its analysis.

The Nuclear Notebook column has been published continuously in the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientist since 1987. It is prepared by the team of Nuclear Information Project of Federation of American Scientists.
