Pakistani researcher Sabur Ali Saeed advised Shehbaz Sharif to establish friendship and trade with India

Pakistan-India Relation : Now internal churning has started in Pakistan regarding Pakistan’s deteriorating relations with India. Experts are also advising Pakistan to improve relations with India. They believe that now the Shahbaz Sharif government should improve relations with India. Pakistani researcher Sabur Ali Saeed has written an article about this in Geo News. In it, Saeed said that Pakistan will have to give priority to policies towards India again. When India abolished Article 370, Pakistan worked on the policy of breaking all kinds of relations. Pakistan thought that India could be forced by applying such pressure, but it did not happen. This strategy of Pakistan did not work. Pakistan also raised this on many international forums, but it did not have any effect on India. Many Muslim countries also did not support Pakistan.

Nobody supported Pakistan
Saboor Ali said that even the Muslim countries of the Gulf did not support Pakistan. UAE gave its highest civilian honour to Modi a few weeks after the abolition of Article 370. UAE is the fourth largest investor in India today. Saudi has announced an investment of 100 billion dollars in India. The researcher said that the US and the European Union are strengthening relations with India, even when Pakistan protested strongly against India. It is clear that Pakistan’s policy of ending relations with India is not working. Now Pakistan will have to move forward with a future in mind. Modi has become PM in India for the third time. In such a situation, the Shahbaz Sharif government should fix relations with India.

Pakistan will benefit a lot from trade
Saeed said in his article that if trade takes place between India and Pakistan, it can reach up to $37 billion. In the year 2017-18, the trade between the two countries was $2.4 billion. When the relationship deteriorated, Pakistan stopped trade between the two countries, but this did not change India’s policy. Pakistan will only benefit from trading with India. This will also create an environment for talks. Pakistan can become a gateway for India to Afghanistan, Central Asia, Iran etc. In such a situation, the current government should open the doors for talks and change its policy.
