Pakistani Taxi Driver Daughter Murder Case: In London, a father brutally murdered his daughter. The matter is about 1 year old. On Wednesday (13 November 2024), the father confessed to the charge of murder during the trial and told the court how he had killed his daughter. However, he also said that his intention was not to murder, hence he does not deserve punishment. The court has not announced the punishment yet.
According to media reports, on August 10, 2023, London Police received a call from Islamabad, Pakistan. The caller said that he was Urfan Sharif (42 years). He has beaten his daughter Sara (10 years) to death. After the murder, he fled to Pakistan with his wife Beinash Batool (30), the girl’s uncle Faizal Malik (29) and 5 other children. After the information, London Police reached the house mentioned by the caller in Walking, South-West London. The dead body of 10 year old Sara was found on the bed there. The accused Urfan Sharif is of Pakistani origin and used to drive a taxi in Britain.
Police found a note from the house
The police also found a note from the girl. It was written in it, “Whoever is seeing this note, I am Urfan Sharif. Who beat his daughter to death. I am running because I am scared… but I promise that soon I will hand myself over to the police to face punishment. “I swear to God I didn’t mean to kill him, but I lost my temper.”
The police arrested all three as soon as they returned to London.
After receiving the note, London Police registered a case against the three and started investigation. On the other hand, accused Sharif returned to London from Islamabad. The police arrested the three accused on 13 September 2023 after they returned to London.
Wife accused of murder after arrest
After his arrest, Urfan reversed his earlier statement to the police and said that his wife Batool had murdered their daughter. She said in the statement that Batool is Sara’s stepmother. He forced me to murder the girl and confess the crime. However, during the trial, when the wife’s lawyer interrogated Urfan, he once again confessed to his crime and said that he tied Sara up and beat her and while beating her, she took her life. The trial went on in the court for about a year and on 13 November 2024, he also confessed to the murder in the court.
25 bones were broken
Urfan Sharif told in the court that on August 8, 2023, he had tied Sara with packaging tape and beaten her with a cricket bat. Apart from the bat, an attempt was also made to strangulate him. When Sara’s body was found, there were marks of injuries, tooth bites and burns on her body. In the postmortem report, 25 bones including the rib, shoulder and spine of the girl were found broken.
