Keeping in view the increasing number of domestic tourists in Palace on Wheels, now RTDC is considering to re-design the fare of this luxury train according to Indian standards. Palace on Wheels has given a profit of about three crore rupees to Rajasthan Tourism Corporation Limited. After the Kovid period, Palace on Wheels started frequent trips from October-22 and till January it has carried 500 passengers, most of whom were Indians. 78 passengers will travel in the Palace on Wheels which is going to start on 18th February, this number of passengers is quite reassuring as 82 passengers can travel in this train at a time.

40-50 percent of Indians traveled in Royal Train

According to VP Singh, MD of Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation, the number of foreign tourists decreased significantly after the Kovid period. In such a situation, the focus was on the Palace on Wheels in different cities of the country, the result was that 40-50 percent of Indians traveled in this Royal Train. March-April booking from Spain has been close to 175
