Band formed after doing MS
Singer, song writer, composer, physician, director and actor; born on 23 September 1965 in Lucknow, this personality’s all-in-one character gave him a distinct identity. He was good in studies right from the beginning, and everyone liked his cheerful and jovial nature.
After school, he studied MBBS and MS in Orthopaedics. During this time, he formed a band ‘Euphoria’ in college for fun. Its first song ‘Dhoom Pichak Dhoom’ became a hit as soon as it was released and from here began a new journey for him.
This band released many songs which were liked by the people. Their craze was at its peak from 1990 to 2005. But then they slowly faded into obscurity. It is said that they became victims of industry politics because they did not do sycophancy.
The country’s first Hindi rock band was formed in 1988
23rd September (Monday) is his 59th birthday. Apart from singing and playing, he is still a doctor by profession. Originally from Varanasi, the Sen family was settled in Lucknow. People in their family have been doctors for generations. When Palash was young, his family shifted to Delhi. Along with being a doctor, the family was always interested in music. That is why Palash also developed an interest in music and during his studies, he tried his hand at it as well.
He loved to impress girls by singing. He would often perform in college with his guitar. During this time, he decided to form a band with some of his friends and in 1988, India’s first Hindi rock band was formed. Along with college, he also started performing in some small events.
His song ‘Dhoom Pichak Dhoom’ which came in 1998 created such a sensation that he became everyone’s favourite indie pop star. Slowly he started getting fame and recognition. In such a situation, a TV channel telecasted his short interview. Later, ‘Euphoria’ launched its first music album ‘Dhoom’. The success of this album skyrocketed and ‘Euphoria’ finally got the fruits of 10 years of hard work.
Palash’s ‘Euphoria’ became the number-1 band
The craze for ‘Euphoria’ was amazing among the youth of that era. Palash was winning people’s hearts with his art. Be it TV, radio or cassettes and CDs, Palash was everywhere. Within no time, Euphoria became India’s most popular and number-1 band.
Popularity was at its peak, so full of confidence, Palaash tried his luck in acting as well. He was seen acting in a film released in the year 2002. After this, he acted in different languages and worked in many films, but he did not get success here. After this, in 2017, Palaash surprised everyone by trying his hand at direction as well.
He directed a short film called ‘Jiya Jale’. However, this film was in controversy due to copyright. Palash himself has been involved in controversies many times. But amidst all these news, fans still like to listen and hum his songs.
