You can correct your name in the PAN card online from the comfort of your home. For this, first you have to go to the official website of the Income Tax Department www.incometaxindia.gov.in. Here you have to login by entering your PAN number. After this, you have to go to the correction option. Then some information will be asked from you, you have to enter that information.
And a related document will also have to be uploaded along with it. To submit the form, you will have to pay a charge of Rs 106. Which will be its correction fee. After paying the fee, when you submit the form. You will get a receipt which you can download. Through this receipt, you can check your PAN card correction status. Your PAN card will be sent to your address within 15 to 30 days.
Get offline correction done like this
If you are not able to correct your PAN card online, then you can choose the offline option. For this, you will have to go to the nearest Common Service Center where PAN cards are made and updated. After this, you will have to fill a form to make corrections in the PAN card.
So you will also have to attach the related documents such as a photocopy of the Aadhar card. After this you will have to pay the fee. The operator will submit your application. After a few days, you will be able to get your updated PAN card from the Common Service Center or the PAN card will be sent to your home.
