Pankaj Tripathi Love Story: Pankaj Tripathi is a big name in the Hindi cinema world. Have done films of every genre. Simple Pankaj Tripathi is also very romantic. He has often shared his love story on many platforms. This time his wife Mridula has told the story of their love of those days.
In conversation with filmmaker Atul Taishete, Pankaj Tripathi’s wife Mridula told that she first saw the star in a photograph and their love story started in 1993. After this both of them got married in the year 2004.
This is how the love story started
Mridula told, ‘I saw my husband and he saw me for the first time on 23 May 1993. Before that we had seen each other in pictures. This picture was for my brother’s wedding. A picture of a girl had come. In the picture were his two brothers and parents. This came when I was in ninth and he was in eleventh.
Mridula told that she kept that picture in her bag and took it to school, seeing which her friends used to tease her a lot. She used to say that younger brother will feel good with you. Mridula saw Pankaj for the first time on the day of her brother’s tilak.
He said that we saw each other many times in Tilak. I still tell Pankaj that I saw you when your beard started growing and now I am seeing you when you have worn glasses. It has been a long journey.
Regarding the love story, Mridula further said that we both started liking each other and then started looking for more reasons to meet to take the story forward. Pankaj’s wife told that handkerchief played a special role in his story.
Sharing an interesting incident, he told that the conversation between us started with the fact that if you wash your hands then you need a handkerchief and in giving it hand touching was required, which gives you a different feeling. Then the sequence moved forward. I used to call Pankaj you.
The special thing is that mother had no idea and she used to ask me to call Pankaj Bhaiya. Because he was my sister-in-law’s brother and was two years older than me. The dilemma was that I could not call him brother. I started with Pankaj ji and never called him bhaiya or Pankaj.
Mridula revealed that she calls Pankaj her husband. Pankaj and Mridula have a daughter, whose name is Aashi.
She told that even today I call him husband. When he used to come to Calcutta (Kolkata) every six months or a year, he used to touch my feet deliberately. She is very naughty. A small love story that started in 1993 came to a beautiful stage with marriage in 2004. He told that both of them never expressed their love to each other but it was Mridula who requested them to get married and that too when Tripathi Was in NSD.
