Pankaj Udhas Prayer Meet: Ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas died on January 26 after a long illness. The late singer was suffering from pancreatic cancer, about which he came to know only four months ago. Pankaj was undergoing treatment in the hospital and during this time he died. The entire entertainment industry was deeply shocked by the demise of the singer, who left the world at the age of 72. After his death, his last rites were performed on 27 February where the Mumbai Police also gave him the last salute.
Now the details related to Pankaj Udhas’ condolence meeting have come to light. Late singer’s daughter Nayaab Udhas has shared all the information related to her father’s condolence meeting. According to which, the condolence meeting of Pankaj Udhas will be held in Mumbai on March 2, 2024. Tribute to Pankaj Udhas will be paid from 4 pm to 6 pm at Trident Hotel, The Rooftop, Nariman Point in the city.
Pankaj merged into five elements on 27th February
Pankaj Udhas’s last rites were performed on 27 February at the Hindu crematorium in Worli, Mumbai. He was given farewell with full state honours. Many Bollywood celebrities had come during this time to bid him a last farewell. Which includes stars like Sonu Nigam, Shaan, Zakir Hussain, Vishal Bhardwaj, Sunil Gavaskar, Papon, Vidya Balan and Shankar Mahadevan.

Let us tell you that Pankaj Udhas was a big name in the world of ghazal singing. He sang more than 700 songs in the Hindi film industry with his beautiful voice. The song ‘Chithi Aayi Hai’ from director Mahesh Bhatt’s film ‘Naam’ made him an overnight star. He was also awarded the Padmashree Award in 2006 for his contribution to music.
