Farmer Pankaj Singh, resident of Kothiya village of Tajpur block area of ​​Samastipur district, has also been earning double profit by adopting the same system for two years by cultivating banana and papaya. Actually, two years ago he had once gone to visit Banaras. Then someone there told him that papaya can be cultivated along with banana. After this, after coming back from there, he started the cultivation of banana and papaya. Today he is cultivating both the fruits on a large scale in the same plot. Banana is banana, papaya is being produced up to 30 quintals per bag.

Farmer Pankaj Singh says that he had gone to Banaras to roam. Then I came to know about the cultivation of banana and papaya there. After coming back from there, he first planted a papaya plant in his field. Then after a week, banana beet was also planted in the same plot. He said that while planting both the fruits in the same field, he too got confused whether it would be successful or a loss-making deal. But the experiment of simultaneous cultivation of both crops was successful.

Farmers are happy with success
Farmer Pankaj Singh said that now 30 quintals of papaya are being produced per bush. Whereas good income is also being earned from banana of G-9 variety. 55 papaya plants have been planted per bushel. Whereas 50 to 55 banana plants have also been planted in the same land. Papaya is sold in the market at Rs 30 to 40 per kg. Pankaj says that he is thinking of cultivating more fruits in the coming days.
