PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti Attend Bharat Jodo Yatra With Rahul Gandhi In Jammu Kashmir

Bharat Jodo Yatra: Under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, the Bharat Jodo Yatra of Congress resumed from Chersu village of Avantipora amidst security. In this journey, former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti has joined the Bharat Jodo Yatra on Saturday (January 28) with her daughter. Apart from this, a large number of local people have also participated in the yatra. After the controversy over security on Friday (January 27), the yatra is going on for the second day amid tight security.

At the same time, Jammu and Kashmir Congress leader Ghulam Ahmad Mir while talking to news agency ANI said that yesterday thousands of people wanted to join the yatra and somehow mismanagement happened. It was also said that people had come from the other side of the tunnel. This is baseless, the tunnel is 9 km long. He said, ‘The VVIP speed with which Rahul Gandhi came this way, no one could have followed him so fast. He was a local of South Kashmir, from Dooru constituency and was there with love. Today there is security but I appeal to give facilities to those who want to participate in it.

There will be a tea break for the yatra on Saturday near Birla International School, Pampore. There will be rest on Saturday night at the truck yard of Pantha Chowk on the outskirts of Srinagar. On January 29, the yatra from Pantha Chowk will reach Nehru Park on Boulevard Road.

Congress had made allegations regarding security

The Congress had alleged a lapse in Friday’s security. In Qazigund of Jammu and Kashmir, the yatra was stopped only after one kilometer of entry. Many people entered the security cordon of Rahul Gandhi. After this, the police took Rahul Gandhi and Omar Abdullah in their car to Anantnag. In Anantnag, Rahul had said in the press conference, “The security system of the police collapsed during the yatra. Policemen were not seen after leaving the tunnel. My security personnel said that we cannot go any further. I had to stop my journey. The rest were traveling.”

Regarding the lapse in travel, Rahul Gandhi had said that it is the responsibility of the administration to control the crowd, so that we can travel. It was difficult for me to ignore the advice of those engaged in my security. At the same time, Mallikarjun Kharge had said that the lapse in the security of Rahul Gandhi is disturbing. India has already lost two PM and many leaders. We demand better security for the passengers.
