Anant Kumar / Gumla. Samosa found at ‘Utkarsh Thela’ near Sant Patrik Church located on Sisai Road of Gumla district headquarters is very popular. Here samosas are served with chickpeas, which people eat with great gusto. Along with this, parcels are also arranged for home. About 500 samosas are sold daily at the cart.
Thela operator Roop Ram Badaik told that apart from samosas, Dhuska, Potato Chop, Pyagi, Idli, Kachori, Jalebi Phuchka, Samosa Chaat, Balushahi, Nimki are also available at his cart, but the cart is famous for samosas. It is served with chickpeas, which makes it different from other samosas. The cost of one piece samosa with chickpeas is only Rs.6. Due to this, there is no burden on the pockets of the people. People can have delicious breakfast of their choice for 12 rupees.
Roop Ram Badaik told that it starts at 7 in the morning at the shop. But samosas are served from 11 am. Dhuska, Idli is served in the morning. Samosas are served till 8 pm. He told that potato chop, kachori, jalebi and balushahi are 6 rupees a piece. Whereas, Idli is grinded for Rs.5. Samosa Chaat Rs 15 is available in a plate and Phuchka Rs 10 is available in 6 pieces. Orders are also taken on other occasions including weddings, anniversaries, birthdays.
On the other hand, Khushbu Kallu, who came from Rashmi Nagar to taste samosas at the handcart, told that samosas are generally served in the market for Rs.8 to 10. But even today, in this inflation, samosa is available for Rs 6 per piece. Which is served with special chickpeas of peas. The samosas here are cheap as well as very tasty.
