There are potholes at many places on the Pilibhit-Madhotanda road. Due to which accidents are happening every day and drivers are facing a lot of trouble. Local villagers also complained to the concerned department and MLA but no result was achieved. Now people have planted banana saplings in the pits for safety.

There is a 30 kilometer long route from Pilibhit to Madhotanda. The condition of this road is quite pathetic. Only a proposal is sent to reconstruct the road, after which the matter comes to a standstill. It certainly happens that patchwork work is started on the instructions of the officials but this does not provide much relief.

No signs near potholes

After the patchwork done about three months ago, now there are potholes here again. People demanded the officials as well as the MLA to repair the road. Even after this nothing could be done. Even the Public Works Department did not install any signs near the potholes to prevent accidents. In such a situation, two wheeler drivers are becoming victims of accidents.

Due to the negligence of the department, the pedestrians have now planted banana saplings in the potholes for safety reasons. So that the drivers can see the plants from a distance and proceed with caution. The photo of planting banana saplings in pits is also going viral on social media.

DM Sanjay Kumar Singh said that the Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department has been asked regarding the Madhotanda-Pilibhit road. They have been asked to get it rectified.
