This is the reason why there is always tension between the two countries regarding this region.

A statement has come out from the Philippines on this incident. According to Coast Guard spokesperson Commodore Jai Terriella, two of our ships have been attacked by Chinese ships. One of our ships was hit hard by their ship. The Philippines ship suffered heavy damage in this collision.

At present, the news has not been confirmed as to where the collision took place between the ships of the two countries. Before the incident, the Army was reported to be sending supplies and military personnel to the Second Thomas Shoal, which is under the control of the Philippines.

The statement of Philippines President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has also come out on the incident. He says that he has no alternative to the attack by China in the South China Sea area.

According to President Junior, it is quite regrettable that despite the clarity provided by international law, unilateral illegal actions are being taken by China in our region. This is a violation of our rights and its sovereignty.

According to the year 2021, the population of Philippines is about 11.39 crores. Whereas the population of China was 141.24 crore in 2021. At present, China is ahead of the Philippines in every field. If there is a war between the two countries, the Philippines’ army will hardly be able to stand against China for a few days.
