- To verify the identity of the caller, you can ask them to use a secret word or answer a personal question.
- They can attack your device with malware or take you to fake websites.
- Do not give money or personal information to anyone who contacts you by phone or text. They could be scammers who want to get your passwords, bank details or credit card numbers.
- Don’t let anyone remote access your device. Remote access can lead to malware or data theft.
- Scammers can hide their number from caller ID. Because of this, don’t rely on caller ID.
