BJP retained its hold in Pilibhit, which is known as the stronghold of Maneka and Varun Gandhi. BJP candidate Jitin Prasad won by 1.63 lakh votes. With this, there was an atmosphere of celebration among the BJP workers. Earlier, after taking a big lead, Jitin Prasad reached the temple located at the Mandi Sthal and bowed before God. On the other hand, SP’s Bhagwat Saran Gangwar left the counting place.

It started at Mandi Sthal on Tuesday morning at 8 o’clock. First of all, counting of postal ballots took place. After this, counting of EVMs started. From the very beginning, BJP had taken the lead, which continued to remain. Let us tell you that Pilibhit parliamentary constituency includes five assembly constituencies Pilibhit, Barkheda, Bisalpur, Puranpur and Baheri. In this, counting of Baheri took place in Bareilly and the counting of the remaining assembly constituencies took place in the Mandi Sthal of Pilibhit.

On Pilibhit seat, Jitin Prasad of Bharatiya Janata Party got 588287 votes and Bhagwat Saran Gangwar of Samajwadi Party got 424409 votes. BSP candidate Anish Ahmed Khan is at third place. He got 87057 votes.

BJP workers started celebrating the victory at 1 pm in Pilibhit’s Malila ground. During this, BJP workers were seen dancing to the beats of dhol. BJP workers were seen in full enthusiasm, chanting Jai Shri Ram.
