New Railway Rules 2025: 2024 is about to end. There is very little time left for 2025. Meanwhile, Railways is also going to make some important changes in the new year. There will be changes in the number of trains as well as the timetable. The current timetable, the 44th edition of ‘Trains at a Glance’, will remain in effect till December 31, 2024.

In 2025, the Railway Ministry plans to launch all 136 Vande Bharat Express trains, 2 Amrit Bharat Express trains and Namo Bharat Rapid Rail (Vande Metro). Last year, the national transporter had introduced 64 Vande Bharat trains and 70 additional services to increase passenger convenience and efficiency.

The numbers of trains will change

The Indian Railways Department had changed the numbers of many trains during the Corona period and given them special numbers. Railways has now decided to run all those trains on the old numbers. This ‘Train at a Glance’ will be implemented from January 1, 2025. This information was released earlier in July itself. After this, from January 1, the trains which were run with special numbers before will run on their old common numbers. Common passengers will benefit from this. At the same time, it is believed that there may also be a reduction in travel fares.
