Prime Minister Narendra Modi On October 5, 2024 (tomorrow), the Prime Minister will release the 18th installment of Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) Scheme. This scheme was launched by the government in 2018, the objective of which is to provide financial assistance to small and poor farmers across the country. Under the scheme, an amount of Rs 6000 is given to the beneficiary farmers every year in three installments. This amount is transferred directly to the bank accounts of farmers through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
This year, the 17th installment was distributed in June 2024, in which an amount of Rs 20 thousand crore was sent to the accounts of 9.3 crore farmers. Now that the festive season is around the corner, the government has decided to release the 18th installment on October 5, so that farmers can get financial assistance during the festivals.
- Go to the official PM-Kisan website and click on the ‘Beneficiary Status’ option.
- Enter your Aadhaar number or account number.
- Click on the ‘Get Data’ button and confirm the payment details.
- After submitting all the information, your status will be processed by the system and you will be able to see whether you have received the installment or not.
Registration for PM Kisan Yojana
Farmers can apply for registration in PM-Kisan scheme by visiting the official website (https://pmkisan.gov.in/) or by contacting the office of the concerned state agriculture department.

How to do e-KYC
- Go to the official website of PM-Kisan.
- Select ‘Farmers Corner’.
- Click on e-KYC option.
- Enter your Aadhaar number and select ‘Get OTP’.
- Submit by entering the OTP received on your registered mobile number.
