Prime Minister Narendra Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath will virtually inaugurate the air travel from Aligarh Airport to Lucknow on March 2. Local public representatives and police-administrative officers will participate in the program to be held at the airport.
Apart from Aligarh, airports and flights from Azamgarh, Moradabad, Shravasti, Chitrakoot of the state are going to be inaugurated simultaneously on the same day. The main function will be held in Azamgarh. Live telecast of the program will be shown. The team of flying company Fly Big, administration and DGCA have started preparations at Aligarh Airport. Under the Central Government’s UDAN scheme, a budget of about Rs 110 crore has been spent on Aligarh Airport. DGCA had issued its license on January 1, the very first day of the year.
50 SSF personnel will protect the airport
At the government level, 50 SSF (Secretariat Security Force) personnel have been deployed for the security of Aligarh Airport. Staff of DGCA and Fly Big Company will be deployed in the airport premises.
