PM Modi on Mulayam Singh Yadav: Prime Minister Narendra Modi PM Modi on Wednesday (June 3) slammed the Congress and the Samajwadi Party (SP) for making the protection of the Constitution an issue in the 2024 general elections. Referring to the allegations of opposition members against the government of misuse of investigative agencies, PM Modi referred to the statements of former SP president Mulayam Singh Yadav.

In Rajya Sabha, PM Modi said, “These people who are defaming the investigation agencies…creating a ruckus… I request them to recall their memories. Late Mulayam Singh had said in 2013 that it is not easy to fight against Congress, they will put you in jail, CBI will come after you. Congress takes support by showing fear of CBI and ED.”
While speaking in the House, PM Modi also asked a question to SP leader Ram Gopal Yadav. He said, “Mulayam Singh Yadav had told how Congress used to misuse investigation agencies. I want to ask Ram Gopal Yadav whether Netaji ever lied? I want to tell Ram Gopal Yadav to tell his nephew (Akhilesh Yadav) also. Remind him who was the one who put the CBI noose around his nephew as soon as he entered politics, please remind him.”
‘Strictest action will be taken against corruption’
In his address, PM Modi said, “When we formed the government in 2014, we had said that our government will work for the welfare of the poor. It will take a strong action against corruption and will attack black money. I am saying this without any hesitation and want to tell the countrymen also that we have given free hand to the agencies to take the strictest action against the corrupt and corruption. The government will not interfere anywhere. No person involved in corruption will be able to escape the law. This is Modi’s guarantee.”
PM Modi also expressed his views in the House on the NEET issue. He said, “We want that there should be no politics on a sensitive issue like paper leak, but the opposition is used to it. I assure the youth of India that action is being taken to ensure that those who play with the future of the youth are given strict punishment.”
