Congress has won 40 seats
recently completed Himachal Pradesh Assembly Election Congress has secured majority by winning 40 out of 68 seats. BJP won 25 seats while independent candidates won 3 seats. On Sunday, Himachal Governor RV Arlekar administered the oath of office to Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu as CM and Mukesh Agnihotri as Deputy CM.

Apart from these, former Union Minister Anand Sharma, former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Himachal Pradesh Congress in-charge Rajeev Shukla, State Congress President Pratibha Singh and senior leader Sachin Pilot were also present at the swearing-in ceremony.
