PM Modi Emmanuel Macron Discuss India RoadMap Defense Gaza India France Talks


India-France Talks: Defense industrial partnership ‘roadmap’ has been agreed between India and France. This will pave the way for development and co-production of major military hardware and platforms. It will also promote technical cooperation in many areas including space, ground warfare, cyber world and artificial intelligence.

Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra met the Prime Minister in Jaipur last night. Narendra Modi Announcing the outcome of the talks between India and French President Emmanuel Macron, it also said that Tata and Airbus Helicopters have entered into a partnership to produce the H125 helicopter with critical indigenous components.

Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra told a press conference on Friday (January 26) that the India-France defense industry roadmap will also increase cooperation in the areas of robotics, automated vehicles and cyber defense. He said that an MoU was signed between New Space India Limited and France’s Arianespace for the launch of satellites.

What was discussed?
Kwatra said that PM Modi and Macron also discussed the conflict in Gaza, its various dimensions including terrorism and humanitarian aspects. He said the two leaders also discussed the evolving security situation, possible disruptions and actual developments in the Red Sea.

Macron started his two-day visit to India with a visit to Jaipur on Thursday. The President of France attended the Republic Day celebrations on Friday as the chief guest on duty.
