PM Modi 3 States Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi From today Friday (01 March) he will be on a 2-day tour of Jharkhand, West Bengal and Bihar. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said in a statement that PM Modi will visit Jharkhand, West Bengal and Bihar on March 1-2 where he is scheduled to lay the foundation stone and inaugurate several projects worth Rs 2,40,700 crore.
The statement said, “On March 1, at around 11 am, the Prime Minister will reach Sindri in Dhanbad, Jharkhand and will participate in a public program, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several development projects worth Rs 35,700 crore in Jharkhand.” Are related to fertilizer, railway, electricity and coal sectors.
Sindri fertilizer plant will be dedicated to the country
The Prime Minister will dedicate to the nation the Sindri Fertilizer Plant of Hindustan Fertilizer and Chemicals Limited (HURL), developed at a cost of more than Rs 8900 crore, which is a step towards self-reliance in the urea sector. The statement said, “This will increase indigenous urea production in the country by about 12.7 LMT (lakh metric tons) every year, which will benefit the farmers of the country. This is the third fertilizer plant to be restarted in the country after the turnaround of fertilizer plants at Gorakhpur and Ramagundam. “The fertilizer plants at Gorakhpur and Ramagundam were dedicated to the nation by the Prime Minister in December 2021 and November 2022 respectively.”
Apart from this, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several railway projects worth more than Rs 17,600 crore in Jharkhand. The projects include Son Nagar-Andal 3rd and 4th line, Tori-Shivpur 1st and 2nd and Biratoli-Shivpur 3rd railway lines (part of Tori-Shivpur project), Mohanpur-Hansdiha new railway line, Dhanbad-Chandrapura railway line. .
The statement said that these projects will expand railway services in the state and bring socio-economic development in the region. According to the statement, during the program the Prime Minister will also flag off three trains which include Deoghar-Dibrugarh train service, MEMU train service (daily) between Tatanagar and Badampahar and starting operation of a goods train with more coaches from Shivpur station.
Apart from this, the Prime Minister will also dedicate to the nation important power projects including North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project (STPP), Unit-1 (660 MW) of Chatra in Jharkhand. Developed at a cost of more than Rs 7500 crore, this project will improve the power supply in the area.
According to the ‘PM Gatishakti Master Plan’, Modi will also inaugurate the North Urimari Coal Handling Plant of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited (CIL) in Ramgarh district.
Will leave from Jharkhand and reach West Bengal
The Prime Minister is scheduled to leave Jharkhand in the afternoon and reach West Bengal where he will attend a public event at Arambag in Hooghly and inaugurate, inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several development projects worth more than Rs 7,200 crore. The statement said, “On March 2, at around 10.30 am, the Prime Minister will reach Krishnanagar in Nadia district of West Bengal, where he will inaugurate, inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several development projects worth Rs 15,000 crore.”
At 2.30 pm, the Prime Minister will inaugurate, inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several development projects worth Rs 21,400 crore in Aurangabad, Bihar. The statement said that later the Prime Minister will reach Begusarai in Bihar where he will participate in a public program and inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several oil and gas sector projects worth about Rs 1.48 lakh crore across the country.
