Know about Draupadi Murmu
President Draupadi Murmu was born on 20 June 1958 in a Santhali tribal family in Uparbeda village of Mayurbhanj district of Odisha. She took oath as President on 25 July 2022. Earlier she was the Governor of Jharkhand.
President Murmu (Droupadi Murmu, Murmu’s early life was full of hardships and struggles. After completing primary education from the village school, Murmu went to Bhubaneswar for further studies. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ramadevi Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Bhubaneswar. She became the first girl from her village to go to college.
