According to the report of Aaj Tak, when PM Modi was 13 or 14 years old, he performed a play in his school called Peelu Phool. It means yellow flowers in Hindi. It is said that PM Modi wrote this play himself. In the same report, it is said that PM Modi and his group performed this play so that they could collect funds to repair the broken wall of their school compound.
The subject of the play Peele Phool, which was staged in 1963-64, was untouchability. That is, the concept of untouchability prevalent in the society. However, even before this, untouchability was declared a crime by the country’s parliament in the year 1955. But even after this, at the time when this play was staged, untouchability was deeply ingrained in the society.
