Due to this, PM Modi has given a big and important advice to the officials regarding cyber security. According to the report of News 18, in a meeting, PM has asked the officials whether “after the work is over, they ensure that their system is logged out or not, I do it… this is important for cyber security”. The government is constantly taking steps regarding cyber security. This advice given by PM Modi to the government officials is being given a lot of importance.
What did PM Modi tell the officials?
According to the report of News 18, while emphasizing on the issue of cyber security in the meeting with the officials, PM Modi said that in every office, one person should be given the task to check everyone’s systems in the office after everyone goes home and ensure that all the systems are logged out.
The PM said that he himself follows this advice completely and does not forget to log out of his system while leaving. He said that there is a greater risk of cyber attack on an open system.
Apart from this, PM Modi told about the meeting with Bill Gates, the co-founder of tech giant Microsoft. PM Modi told that the issue of cyber security was also discussed between the two.
PM Modi issued instructions for all ministries
After meeting the officers, on the orders of PM Modi, the Cabinet Secretary has issued written instructions to all the ministries, in which the officers have been asked to honestly follow all the guidelines and protocols of cyber security. According to a report by Checkpoint Research Firm, there has been an increase in cyber attacks on government institutions in the last 6 months. In the first quarter of 2024, more than 400 attacks were being carried out every day.
Cyber security remains a big concern for the government. Earlier, the country’s Home Minister Amit Shah The Home Minister had said that 27 lakh cases of cyber fraud were registered across the country last year. The Home Minister had said that cases of cyber fraud have not increased, now cases are coming to light due to increased vigilance.
