How does this gang work?

This gang used to steal the customer’s cheque book very cleverly and make it disappear before it reached the bank. When the customer filed a complaint regarding this, the old cheque book was cancelled and a new cheque book was issued. In this way, the gang got all the details of the new cheque book.

The gang used to remove the old details from the checkbook using a chemical and print new details and withdraw money using the customer’s fake signature. In this way, the customer said that he did not receive any message from the bank and the money has been deducted from the bank. Later, when the customer updated his passbook, he came to know that Rs 15 lakh had been withdrawn from his bank account.
