The Outer North District Narcotics Cell has arrested two suppliers of heroin. Police have recovered 402 grams of heroin from their possession, whose value is estimated at Rs 2.5 crore. The police is interrogating the accused and trying to identify the accused related to the business.
District Police Deputy Commissioner Nidhin Valson said that the Outer North District Narcotics Cell is identifying people involved in drug smuggling in the district under the Drug Free India campaign. The police team under the leadership of Inspector Ashok Kumar was regularly keeping an eye on drug smugglers and suppliers. For this, informers were activated in the district. On December 7, the police got information about a female supplier.
After confirming the information, the police arrested him from Narela area. Police recovered 102 grams of heroin from his possession. Investigation revealed that the woman was earlier arrested along with her husband in 2023. 14 grams of heroin was recovered from the woman. Meanwhile, 2.82 grams of heroin was recovered from him. The woman was on bail while her husband is in judicial custody.
Meanwhile, the next day the police arrested Jilani from Narela area. Police recovered three hundred grams of heroin from the possession of Niwali Jilani of village Usahta Badaun, Uttar Pradesh. Investigation revealed that a case was registered against Jilani in 2020 under the Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act. The police officer said that the police is interrogating the accused to find out from where they got the heroin consignment and who else is involved in the business.
