Cyber police station of Shahdara district has exposed a gang involved in extortion through sextortion. Police have arrested an accused in this regard from Punhana of Mewat. The arrested accused has been identified as Sachin, resident of Niwana village of Punhana. Police have recovered the mobile and two SIM cards used in the crime from the accused. Police is looking for an associate of Sachin. Sachin, along with his partner, had committed the crime with an elderly man in Shahdara. In this case, the police have arrested the accused after investigation. The accused fraudulently made obscene videos of people and blackmailed them on the basis of that. Elderly people were mostly their target.
The accused has revealed that after the incident the elders did not even complain due to fear of defamation. In such a situation, these people used to target only the elderly. The police is interrogating the accused and trying to find out how many people his gang has targeted so far. Police is interrogating Sachin. Shahdara district Deputy Commissioner of Police Surendra Chaudhary said that recently Shahdara resident Naresh Kumar, an elderly resident, had given a complaint of sextortion.
The victim told that a video call had come on his WhatsApp number from an unknown number. As soon as the old man picked up the call, a girl from the other end did an obscene act with the old man and made a video of it. After this, the victim was extorted by threatening to post the video on social media besides the police. Rs 98,000 was recovered from the victim. On the complaint of the victim, the police registered a case and started investigation. On the basis of technical surveillance, the police identified the accused and caught him from Punhana.
During interrogation, the accused told that he had started committing crimes since last two months. He was committing the crime along with his neighbor youth. The neighbor used to transfer the defrauded amount to several accounts. Police is interrogating accused Sachin and trying to trace his other accomplice.
