Vikas Bhardwaj, the main accused in the murder of Lakshya, son of ACP posted in Delhi Police, has been arrested by the police from Panipat. The accused was absconding after committing the crime. Police have recovered Lakshya’s EcoSport car from his possession. Divers also recovered Lakshya’s body from a canal near Samalkha, Haryana on Sunday evening. During initial interrogation, the accused confessed to the murder for not returning the borrowed money.
Police officials say that the links of the incident are being connected by interrogating the main accused. Police have already arrested one accused Abhishek in this case. The police took him on remand for three days and interrogated him. Revealed that his friend Vikas Bhardwaj is a lawyer’s clerk in Tis Hazari court. Vikas had told him that Lakshya, who practiced in Tis Hazari court, had borrowed money from him. He misbehaves with her when she asks for the money back. After that they planned to murder the target.
On January 22, Vikas took Lakshya to Rohtak to attend a wedding ceremony. While returning from there, they made Lakshya drop the car on the banks of the canal in Panipat on the pretext. Then he pushed him into the canal and killed him. After that Vikas ran away with Lakshya’s car. After this revelation, the police along with Vikas started searching for Lakshya’s body in the canal. The police officer said that technical investigation revealed that Vikas is present in Panipat. The police team raided on Sunday and took him into custody. The police took him to Samaypur Badli police station, where the police arrested him after he confessed to the crime during initial interrogation.
