In Delhi’s Sadar Bazar area, a case of beating two policemen who went on call by taking them hostage in the house has come to light. The accused also snatched mobiles. Meanwhile, someone informed the police station and other staff freed both of them. Both have been admitted to Bara Hindu Rao Hospital. Police have arrested four accused, including two women, by registering a case under other sections including robbery, assault, obstruction in government work, assault while on duty.

The accused have been identified as Burhan, brother Akhlaq, sister-in-law Ayesha and mother Haseena Bano (60). Two accused Ashfaq and Afaq are absconding. Both are proclaimed scoundrels of Sadar Bazar police station. Afaq is currently on parole.

Northern District Deputy Commissioner of Police Sagar Singh Kalsi said that Sophia (27) reached the Sadar Bazar police station late on Sunday night. The victim told that husband Ashfaq threw her out of the house after assaulting her. After this Havaldar Pawan and constable Mahipal reached Sophia’s house. Both started talking to Ashfaq, Akhlaq, Burhan, Afaq, Ayesha and Hasin Bano in the house. Meanwhile, Burhan locked the door of the house from inside.

The accused attacked the policemen and Sophia with sticks, kicks and punches. Pawan told that the women also thrashed him. When both the policemen tried to inform the police station, the accused snatched the mobile. A passer-by informed the police station. After this, the staff from the police station reached there and freed both of them.
