According to TI Taresh Soni, Gavin was the group sub manager in a solar company, which has a project going on in Ujjain. His family lives in Japan. After his body was found in the hotel room, the police informed the family through the embassy. The post-mortem of the dead body will be conducted only after their consent or the arrival of the authorized representative.

After getting the son’s consent for the last rites, an official from the embassy reached Prashant on Thursday and in his presence, Gavin was cremated at Meghdoot Muktidham on Friday. During this, ACP Krishna Lalchandani, Lasudia TI Taresh Soni and other policemen garlanded Gavin’s body and arranged wood for cremation.

According to TI Taresh Soni, Gavin’s son Christopher has asked for his father’s ashes. Along with the ashes, whatever belongings of Gavin have been found from the hotel will be sent to Christopher as per the rules.
