Delhi CM Atishi says, “Anti-pollution measures are being strictly implemented in Delhi. We have formed 99 teams, which are taking dust control measures across Delhi. We have started the process of deploying more than 325 smog guns. PWD and MCD have deployed all their resources to tackle pollution in Delhi. Anand Vihar, being on the border of Delhi and UP, is a hotspot where AQI is highest.

CM Atishi said, ‘I and Environment Minister Gopal Rai have personally visited the area to monitor all pollution control measures. All the roads in the area have been repaired to avoid any kind of dust. A campaign to remove encroachments has been launched at crowded places. We will also talk to the UP government. The main cause of pollution in Anand is the buses coming from Vihar UP. Haryana and UP release their untreated effluents into Yamuna.
Amid increasing pollution, anti-dust campaign was conducted at 2,762 places in Delhi in the last 13 days. In this, a fine of about Rs 17.40 lakh has been imposed on polluting places. Along with this, notice was also given to the agencies working at 76 places. 523 teams of officers from 13 related departments are engaged in the campaign. Delhi Government has strict instructions that it is necessary to fully implement the 14 rules related to preventing dust at construction sites. Action will be taken against construction agencies that do not do so.
Delhi Government’s Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that pollution is being monitored from the Green War Room in Delhi. Many other types of work are also being done. In this, awareness campaigns including anti-dust campaign, spraying of bio-decomposer, plantation campaign, mobile anti-smog gun are being run. With this, 523 teams of different departments are investigating every place from where dust can fly. 14-point rules are applicable for construction sites. In this campaign which will run till November 7, legal action will be taken against anyone who does not follow the rules of stopping dust. Even after this, if the construction agency does not agree, then the construction site itself will be closed.
