Money will be doubled in Kisan Vikas Patra scheme
Kisan Vikas Patra Yojana was started by the Indian Postal Department in the year 1988. This scheme was first started for farmers. Therefore, it was named Kisan Vikas Patra Yojana. But any Indian citizen can invest in this scheme. After investing in this scheme, the investment gets doubled after 9.5 years i.e. 115 months.
If you invest Rs 5 lakh in this scheme, you will get Rs 10 lakh after 9.5 years. The current interest rate in this scheme is 7.5%. The lock-in period of the scheme is 2.6 years i.e. 30 months. But its maturity period is 115 months.
Who can avail the benefit?
Any Indian citizen above 18 years of age can apply for the Kisan Vikas Patra scheme. If the scheme is taken in the name of a minor, then his/her guardians have to take the scheme letter in his/her name. The scheme has a single holder certificate which is for one person. Joint A and Joint B in which two people can apply.
How to apply for the scheme?
For Kisan Vikas Patra Yojana, you can get the form from the post office. After that you have to fill the form and submit it along with the related documents. If you are filling it through an agent, then Form-A1 has to be submitted. After verification of the documents and depositing the amount, you will be issued a Kisan Vikas Patra certificate. And information will also be sent to the registered email ID.
