These days, political activities are intense regarding the by-elections in Uttar Pradesh. A lot of poster war is also being seen in this by-election. By-election is also to be held on Katehari assembly seat in Ambedkar Nagar. A poster of BJP candidate former minister Dharamraj Nishad from here is going viral. Hoardings have been put up in their area making an appeal. It is written in it ‘Either win this time… or make me lie down on the ticket’.

This appeal has been made by linking the election with one’s own life and death. Dharamraj, who was a minister in the BSP government, was MLA from Katehri for three consecutive terms. However, he contested elections in Jaunpur and Ayodhya districts on BSP ticket and later lost. After joining BJP, he also contested elections from Akbarpur but was not successful. Now again he has returned to Katehri.
