The government has implemented Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) 2.0. Under the new rules, now five thousand which were to be given in three installments will be given in two installments. Apart from this, the requirement of father’s Aadhaar card has been abolished to get the benefit of the scheme. If the second child is a girl, the full amount of the scheme will be given.

Chief Medical Officer Dr. Akhilesh Mohan said that the time limit has also been changed to take advantage of the scheme. Now the beneficiaries will be able to register till 270 days after the birth of the child. In this regard, instructions have been issued by the Central (Government of India) Additional Secretary Lalit Grover.

The nodal officer of the scheme Dr. RK Siroha said that the scheme has been completely digitized. There is no need to fill the form, ASHA workers and ANMs can directly fill the beneficiary details on the portal.

Funds will be received in this way

Earlier, Rs 1000 was given as the first installment, Rs 2000 as the second installment (after six months of pregnancy) and Rs 2000 as the third installment on the registration of the birth of the child and the completion of the child’s first cycle of vaccination. . Now the first installment (three thousand rupees) will be given on completion of at least one pre-natal check-up and the second installment (two thousand rupees) on the registration of the birth of the child and completion of the first cycle of vaccination of the child.

81311 Farm Registered

The district program coordinator of the scheme, Richa Srivastava, told that 81,311 forms have been registered so far (from January 1, 2017) against the target set by the central government. So far Rs 34.13 crore has been paid to the beneficiaries. Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) is applicable from January 1, 2017. The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to improve the health of pregnant and lactating mothers. The funds are directly transferred to the bank account of the beneficiary.
