Prashant Kishor claims why Nitish Kumar does not demand a bigger ministry for JDU in Modi 3.0 Cabinet

Prashant Kishor On Nitish Kumar: For the third time in a row, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government has been formed at the Centre, in which the Janata Dal United (JDU) is playing the role of kingmaker. Despite this, Nitish Kumar’s party has not got any major cabinet position at the Centre. It was being speculated that the JDU might demand the post of Speaker, but this did not happen. Meanwhile, Jansuraj founder and election strategist Prashant Kishor explained why Nitish Kumar did not demand any major post.

Why did Nitish Kumar not ask for a bigger ministry?

Addressing a gathering, Prashant Kishor said, “If CM Nitish Kumar wants, he can demand that he will not give support until a factory is set up in every district of Bihar, but he did not ask for it. Some people said that they will ask for big ministries, but Nitish Kumar did not ask for it. He knows that if a person from the party becomes a big minister, then there will be competition within the party. Nitish Kumar asked for only one thing that he will remain the Chief Minister even after 2025.”

‘Nitish Kumar is BJP’s compulsion’

Prashant Kishor has said that Nitish Kumar has become a compulsion for the BJP. He said, “As soon as the BJP removes Nitish Kumar from the post of Chief Minister of Bihar, it will become difficult for the BJP to save Delhi.”

Two JDU leaders were made ministers

This time a total of 72 ministers took oath in the NDA government, in which 8 MPs from Bihar got a place in the Modi cabinet. Out of this, only two JDU MPs have been made ministers. JDU’s Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lallan Singh has been made Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairy and Panchayati Raj, while Ramnath Thakur has been made Minister of State.
