With the aim of making people aware of Namami Gange, 16-year-old runner Shivam Kumar from Prayagraj started his journey to India Gate in New Delhi by filling water from Sangam on Sunday. Shivam, a resident of Meja’s Baripur, wants to present the water of the Sangam beach to the Prime Minister. Before leaving for the journey, he told that he would reach New Delhi running. During this he will stop in three cities. He will reach Kanpur on January 6, where after a day’s rest, he will leave for Agra.

There will be a halt in Agra on 12th January followed by Noida on 16th January. On January 18, he will reach India Gate in New Delhi. Shivam told that he runs 30-35 kilometers daily. He is also preparing for the marathon. After completing 18 years of age, he will be able to be a part of the marathon. Regarding this padayatra, he says that he wants to make everyone aware of Nirmal Ganga and cleanliness.

Shivam is a student of class 11th. His father Satyendra Kumar told that he always stands by his son. His son was determined that he would take water from Sangam and run till New Delhi. Although it is a big deal, but he is with the son. Told that earlier in the month of August, Shivam had run from Uruva to the Bade Hanuman temple situated on the Sangam bank and after completing this run in four hours, had darshan of Hanuman ji lying down.
