provident fund office send notice to pankaja mundey regarding Vaidyanath Sugar Factory

Vaidyanath Sahkari Sugar Factory: A notice has been sent by the Provident Fund (PF) office to Vaidyanath Sugar Mill owned by BJP leader Pankaja Munde. This notice has been sent for non-payment of PF dues of Rs 61 lakh 47 thousand to the employees working in the mill.

Recently, a notice was issued to the same Vaidyanath Cooperative Sugar Mill for non-payment of GST on sugar worth Rs 19 crore. After that the Central GST Commissionerate took major action against the factory and confiscated its property.

Factory is closed due to lack of water

The sugar factory has been closed for the last several months due to water shortage and drought. This sugar mill located in Beed, Maharashtra was started by late BJP leader Gopinath Munde. Its objective was to benefit the sugarcane farmers of Marathwada. After the death of Gopinath Munde, Pankaja Munde became the president of this sugar mill. In the last few years, loans were taken from many banks on the factory.

Loan to Union Bank of India

This also includes a loan of Rs 203 crore 69 lakh from Union Bank of India. In this matter, the bank has issued a notice and also given an advertisement for the auction of the factory. This is being considered a big political blow for Pankaja Munde.

Dhananjay Munde had offered help

Last year, when Pankaja Munde received the GST notice, Dhananjay Munde had said, “I will talk to Pankaja Tai.” If she gives her consent, I am ready to help her in every possible way.

At the same time, Pankaja Munde expressed disappointment over the action against the sugar mill and said that it is unfortunate. If the government had provided financial assistance, such a situation would not have arisen. He said that the financial crisis arose due to the Covid pandemic and drought, but he gave priority to clearing the dues of sugarcane farmers.
