Pakistan Elections Result: The people of Pakistan have voted to elect a new government in the country but its results have still not been declared. However, Nawaz Sharif announced to form the government. Earlier the Army Chief had said that there is a need for reform in the country. On this, Gauhar Khan has said that reform (healing touch) means that there should be no political prisoners in the country. Along with this he has demanded the release of Imran Khan.

Top leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Gauhar Khan has demanded the release of Imran Khan and other political prisoners. Responding to the statement of Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir, he said that healing touch means that there should be no political prisoners in the country.

Pakistan’s Army Chief had issued a statement regarding the election results. During this he had talked about accepting the results. Along with this, hope was expressed for such a government, which can improve the conditions of the country and create a better situation.

‘Need for permanent government and reforms’

After the voting on February 8, Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir, while congratulating everyone, had said that the country needs a permanent government and reforms, which can take the country out of the politics of anarchy and polarization. General Munir had said that all the forces of democracy should come together to form the government and ensure their participation in the development of Pakistan.

He had further said that Pakistan’s diverse politics and inclusion would be best reflected by a coalition government, whose objective would be national interest. He had said, “The country needs to rise above anarchy and polarization.” This is not good for the progress of Pakistan, a country with 25 crore people. Elections are not just a matter of winning and losing, but it is also a matter of determining the mandate of the country. “It’s an exercise.”

Gauhar Khan replied

Responding to General Munir’s statement, Barrister Gauhar said in a conversation with Arab News that reforms mean that there should be no political prisoners in the country. PTI’s future strategy can be understood from his statement.

He further said that the mandate should be accepted. Without this there can be no improvement (healing touch). Responding to the issue of coalition government, Gauhar said, “Coalition government means that accepting and respecting the mandate should be the priority of every party.”

Gauhar, who won the election from NA-10 seat, further said, “The public has put forward their vote and for the first time they have voted in such difficult circumstances.” He said that out of 102 independent candidates, 95 were PTI supported and remained loyal to the party. The party will also contest elections on those 50 seats where it is said that the results were manipulated.

According to Gauhar, PTI has almost won in Punjab and has two-third majority in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said, “We are close to the majority mark at the Centre. Hopefully, we will form the government in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa along with the Centre.”

Gauhar warned the Election Commission and said that the results of every seat should be released by 12 o’clock on Sunday night. If this did not happen, he warned of peaceful demonstrations outside the Returning Officer’s office in every area. He also said that the public has voted in his favor and he will soon appeal in the High Court. He expressed hope that soon Imran Khan will be released from jail.
