In this he wrote, “Tara Singh’s contribution to our independence and to keeping present day Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Western Punjab in India was unique and decisive.”

He said, “This honor should have been given to him long ago.” Now the time has come that this mistake should be rectified and Masterji should be given the highest honor of the country…” He further told how Master Tara Singh had traveled from the western end of the then united Punjab to Delhi in the days before the partition of the country.
