Let us tell you how these oil free puris are being made by frying in water-

  • First of all take wheat flour. Add some carom seeds and one spoon oil in it. Now knead this dough a little hard, i.e. the way the dough is kneaded for puris.
  • Now cover the dough and keep it to rest for 5 minutes.
  • Heat the water vigorously in a pan.
  • Apply light oil on the rolling wheel and roll the puris. Remember that such puris should not be rolled using a layer of flour.
  • Add the puris after the water becomes very hot and let the flour remain in the water until it is cooked.
    (Instead of cooking puris in water, many people are also steaming them in idli moulds.)
  • Now place the puris taken out of water directly in the air fryer.
  • Air fryer will yield excellent puris.
