Rahul met the delegation of Kashmiri Pandits

Earlier, on January 24, Rahul Gandhi met a 13-member delegation of Kashmiri Pandits. During this, Rahul Gandhi said that Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha should apologize to Kashmiri Pandits for saying that “they should not beg.”

‘Pandits are not begging’

Rahul Gandhi said, “When a delegation of Pandits met the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, he told them that ‘they should not beg’ Lieutenant Governor, Kashmiri Pandits are not begging, they are demanding their rights. To the Lieutenant Governor Pundits should apologize.”

‘Non-locals usurping businesses’

During his visit, Rahul Gandhi also raised the issue of restoring the statehood of Jammu and Kashmir and termed it as the biggest issue. The Congress leader said that “non-local people are running Jammu and Kashmir and usurping businesses in the region.” Last year, terrorists killed four Kashmiri Pandits in separate targeted attacks, triggering fear and anger among the community.
