On the instructions of Moradabad DM, officials raided nine offices including registry, RTO, education department to check attendance. During the investigation, 19 officers and employees were found absent. One outsider was found working in each Tehsil Sadar and Nagar Panchayat Agwanpur.

The DM said that the salary of the absent officers and employees will be stopped. Show cause notices are being issued to everyone. DM Anuj Singh formed a team under the leadership of CDO Sumit Yadav, ADM City, ADM Administration and other officials and directed to check attendance in offices on Thursday morning.

The team inspected the Divisional Transport Officer Office, Tehsil Sadar, District School Inspector Office, Nagar Panchayat Agwanpur, Finance and Accounts Officer Basic Education Office, Deputy Registrar I and II, Executive Engineer Electricity Distribution Block I and II, District Hospital and Chief Medical Officer Office.

During inspection in Nagar Panchayat Agwanpur, an outsider named Lekhraj was found present in the office. Also, a person named Jarif Ahmed was found in Tehsil Sadar. Regional Inspector Technical Ajay Tiwari was found absent in the Divisional Transport Officer’s office and the Finance and Accounts Officer was also not found present during inspection in the Basic Education Office.

In the office related to Executive Engineer Electricity Distribution Section I and II, Assistant Accountant Rashi Aulakh, Executive Assistant Pawan Kumar, Chandrashekhar Bhatnagar, Ankur Sharma, Vikas Yadav, Gulshan Prakash, Gargi Assistant and Technician Grade-2 Harish Kumar were found absent.

At the same time, District Epidemiologist Azizur Rahim, Data cum Account Assistant Sachin Kumar, Arshad Kamal, Vineet Kumar, Meenakshi Sharma, Munish Phal, Karan Singh and Har Prakash were found absent in the Chief Medical Officer’s office.

Interference of outsiders in government work is not tolerated

The DM said that clarification has been sought from the in-charges regarding outsiders. Departmental action will be taken if a satisfactory answer is not received. The government has instructed that there should be no interference of outsiders in government work in any form.

Employees and officers should attend their offices on time and discharge their duties. If any disorder is found during the second inspection, strict action will be taken.
