Indian Railways has now changed the rules regarding train ticket booking. There has been a change in the rules regarding advance ticket booking. According to the rules of Indian Railways, the time given to the passengers to book their journey in advance has been reduced. Earlier, passengers had advance booking time of 120 days i.e. 4 months. But now the rules have changed. Now passengers will get only 60 days instead of 120 days. The Railway Ministry has given this information in the notification issued on October 17.

You can still do advance booking 4 months in advance
After the change in the rules of Indian Railways, earlier passengers used to get 4 months advance booking time. Now that time has been reduced to 60 days. But this change in the rules of Indian Railways has not yet been implemented. At present, passengers will get 4 months i.e. 120 days time for advance booking. According to the notification issued by Railways, the new rule will come into effect from November 1, 2024.

After that, passengers will get advance booking time only 60 days in advance. But currently the facility of advance booking 120 days in advance is available for passengers. Which will remain in force till 31 October 2024. After that if anyone books a train ticket. So you will be able to book tickets only till 2 months in advance.
