Computer Instructor Recruitment Exam: A surprising case has come to the fore in the Basic Computer Instructor recruitment exam organized by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board. Due to getting 0.07 percent less marks in the examination conducted by the board, one candidate was deprived of getting selected. Different correct answers have been given to the same question in the preliminary answer key and final answer key behind the decrease in marks. Although the officials of the board have refused to say anything in this matter.

Actually, Umakant, a resident of Bharatpur, had applied for the recruitment of basic computer instructor. He had full confidence that he would get success in this exam. But he was not selected due to only 0.07% less number. For one question, the board had accepted answer D as correct in the preliminary answer key. But when the final answer key was published, it was changed to A. Due to change of answer, Umakant’s answer was declared wrong and minus marking was also done along with deduction of 1 mark. Because of which one-third of his numbers were deducted. But the candidate Umakant had full confidence in his answer. Because of which he reached the top 8 IITs across the country. Where he got the correct answer to that question.

IIT justified option D only. After which the candidate presented the documents in front of the board. There were two papers in the Basic Computer Instructor Recruitment Examination in Rajasthan. For selection, the candidates had to score 40-40 percent marks in both the question papers separately. Umakant got 45 percent in the first paper and 39.93 percent in the second. He could not score 40% marks in the second paper which was of computer. Because of which he was deprived of selection. Later, when the matter went to the court, the board said that on the basis of the expert committee, answer A has been considered correct. The Expert Committee considered Database System Concepts 5th Edition MC Graville as the basis for answer A.

Here is the question:

(1) A super-key is a combination of one or more attributes that uniquely identifies the records of an RDBMS table.

court case

The answer to this question has been considered correct as D in the preliminary answer key. Whereas in the final answer key A has been declared correct.
