Rajesh Kumar On Slapping Incident: Rajesh Kumar is a famous TV actor. He got a lot of popularity in the role of Rosesh in ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’. She has also worked in hit shows like ‘Baa Bahu Aur Baby’ and ‘Kaun Apna Kaun Paraya’. Rajesh recently revealed that a co-star had slapped him hard on the set to teach him a lesson.

Rajesh Kumar has revealed this in an interview given to Dainik Bhaskar. He told, “We had to shoot a nine-minute long sequence. The shot was like this- I am sitting in a bar drinking and my father comes. He sees me in that condition and slaps me. I had never played a drunkard before, so to get into character I took a shot of brandy. We rehearsed and finally, we were shooting the final shots. We had completed seven minutes of the sequence, the last two minutes were left where I was to be slapped.
Rajesh further said, “Manohar ji slapped me so hard that a strange sound kept echoing in my ears for a long time. The shot ended and the entire crew remained silent. I couldn’t help but think, ‘Why did he hit me so hard?’ Then we took a walk and he told me about the 11 signs of an alcoholic. I think that stayed with me, I understood the seriousness of the craft.”
The decision to leave acting and take up farming proved costly
Let us tell you that despite enjoying a lot of success on television, Rajesh left acting at the peak of his career and started farming in 2019. However, during this period he had to face financial crisis. Rajesh then made a comeback into acting with the series Kota Factory, Rajesh’s acting career took off again with a role in Binny and Family, filmed in the UK.
However, he was still struggling financially and was hardly able to buy essential things for his children. He had told, “I had only Rs 2,500 in my bank account. I couldn’t even buy chocolates for my children.” He further said that he returned to acting by working in Shahid Kapoor and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer project.
