Rajkumar santoshi jamnagar court sentenced two years jail punishment to film director for check bounce case


Rajkumar Santoshi Sentenced Jail: Well-known director Rajkumar Santoshi has been sentenced to two years in jail by a Jamnagar court. The case is of the year 2015 when Ashok Lal, a businessman from Jamnagar, had given a loan of Rs 1 crore to the director for making a film.

Rajkumar Santoshi had given 10 checks of Rs 10 lakh each to Ashok Lal in lieu of payment of loan of Rs 10 lakh each. But these checks were later bounced. When Ashok Lal tried to contact Rajkumar Santoshi about this, he disappeared, after which Ashok Lal filed a case in the court. In such a situation, the court has now sentenced the director.

Two years imprisonment, fine of Rs 2 crore
When the court issued summons to Rajkumar Santoshi in this case and imposed a fine of Rs 15000-15000 for each bounced cheque, the director did not take the summons. Later, when he received summons, he did not appear in the court during the hearing. In such a situation, today the Jamnagar court has sentenced Rajkumar Santoshi to two years in jail. Due to this, the director will now have to pay Rs 2 crore instead of Rs 1 crore.

The director is busy directing ‘Lahore: 1947’

Let us tell you that Rajkumar Santoshi is currently busy directing the film ‘Lahore: 1947’ with Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta. The film is being produced under the banner of Aamir Khan’s production house.
