The names of Narayan Rane, Vinod Tawde, Pankaja Munde, Vijaya Rahatkar, Amrish Patel, Madhav Bhandari, Chitra Wagh, Harshvardhan Patil and Sanjay Upadhyay are included in the list sent by BJP to Delhi. Voting will be held on 27th February

The Election Commission had announced on January 29 that voting for 56 Rajya Sabha seats in 15 states would be held on February 27. The tenure of 50 Rajya Sabha members from 13 states is going to end on April 2, while six members from two states are going to retire on April 3.

The tenure of a member of Rajya Sabha is six years. The Election Commission had issued notification on Thursday (February 7) for elections on six Rajya Sabha seats of Bihar. The tenure of the MPs on these six seats is ending next month. Whereas in Rajasthan, the process of nomination for three Rajya Sabha seats started on February 8.
