UP Rajya Sabha Elections: The results of the elections for 10 Rajya Sabha seats of Uttar Pradesh have been released. In this election, all eight candidates of BJP have won and only two candidates of Samajwadi Party have won. In this election, SP candidate Jaya Bachchan has got the maximum 41 votes. Along with this, SP’s second candidate Ramji Lal Suman has got 40 votes. However, SP’s third candidate Alok Ranjan could get only 19 votes and due to cross voting of SP MLAs, SP’s eighth candidate Sanjay Seth won by getting 29 votes.
SP had fielded MP Jaya Bachchan, retired IAS officer and former Chief Secretary of UP Alok Ranjan and Dalit leader Ramji Lal Suman in the Rajya Sabha elections. Of these, Alok Ranjan has been defeated. Seven MLAs of Samajwadi Party cross voted and gave victory to all the BJP candidates. Whereas only BSP MLA cast his vote for BJP.
Let us tell you that a total of 11 candidates were in the fray for 10 seats in Uttar Pradesh for the Rajya Sabha elections. Samajwadi Party (SP) had fielded three candidates while BJP had earlier fielded seven candidates but later it had fielded an eighth candidate in the form of Sanjay Seth, due to which elections had become necessary.

After the victory of BJP candidates, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath Has honored all the winning candidates. Along with this, CM Yogi has congratulated the winning candidates. Along with CM Yogi, Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya and UP BJP President Bhupendra Chaudhary have also congratulated.
