Ram Setu stone found! Scientists brought from Africa, seen floating in water, millions of years old

Anuj Gautam/Sagar. Lord Shri Ram’s monkey army had built Ram Setu on the sea to reach Lanka. To make it, monkeys named Nala and Neel used to throw stones into the sea and those stones started floating. Now a similar stone has also been found in Sagar, which is kept in the Geological Museum of Dr. Harisingh Gaur Central University of Madhya Pradesh.

Scientists of Sagar University believe that similar stones might have been used to build Ram Sethu during the Ramayana period. RK Chaturvedi of Geological India Survey had brought this stone to Sagar from East Africa. He has also been a senior alumni of the Geological Department of the University. This stone has been present in the West Museum for 20 years.

The stone could be 65 million years old
Head of Geological Department, Prof. Harel Thomas told Local 18 that these are floating stones, which air or balloons remain inside during lava. After millions of years, when that air comes out, they develop holes. Due to these holes, their density gets reduced by water, due to which these stones float in water. He told that this stone could be up to 65 million years (650 lakh years) old.

Such stones will be installed in Ram Setu
Pro. Harel says that if we talk about Ram Setu, it was made of limestone and coral reef, it is possible that floating stone or pumice may also have been used at that time. It cannot be denied outright that it might not have been used. Around 1480, people used to walk on it, but due to storms it went down into the sea and broke at times. If we look at carbon dating, it shows that the age of Ram Setu is 7000 years and this period can match with Ramayana. Currently, research has been done on this, but a lot can be found by doing more research.
